Eureka - Henry O. Blunier, 93, of 507 Valley Court. Eureka, passed away at 11:20p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Eureka Community Hospital. He was born on November 16, 1914 in Roanoke, Il to Samuel A. and Dena Wuethrich Blunier. He married Wilma M. Bauer on October 12, 1947 in Cissna Park, IL. She survives. Surviving are six daughters, Nancy Knepp of Washington, Evelyn(Randy) Mogler of Morton, Doris Blunier of Eureka, Edith(Tom) Stoller of Eureka, Marjorie(Adam) Parmenter of Kalamazoo, MI; Karen Blunier of Morton; two brothers, Homer(Virginia) Blunier of Forrest; Ben(Wilma) Blunier of Eureka; one sister, Pearl Leman of Roanoke; three sister-in-laws, Kathryn Blunier of Minneapolis, MN, Clara Lou Blunier of Eureka, Elizabeth Blunier of Eureka; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, eight brothers. Henry worked for the Department of Agriculture in Soil Conservation in Peoria and Woodford counties for 30 years. An Army Veteran, Henry served his country during WWII He was a member of the Eureka Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and from 9:00-9:45a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Roanoke. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home for the Handicapped, 2125 Veterans Road, Morton, Illinois 61550.
